Fiona's Comments
They call this particular heartache "Han" in South Korea. A kind of melancholic blues that lingers without permission. Beautiful arrangements, cherubic horns.
About the Album
"You Are Here (Every Time I Think Of You)" is the final track from Jihye Lee's debut album "April," featuring a 20-piece orchestra of Berklee faculty. A native Korean, Jihye wrote the album in response to the sinking of the Sewol ferry in South Korea, which killed more than 300 passengers. "You Are Here (Every Time I Think Of You)" is Lee's outpouring of sympathy for those lost and those left behind, highlighted by the aching, sweepingly gorgeous flugelhorn of guest soloist Sean Jones.
