About the Album

Seattle saxophonist Mark Taylor reunites with an old friend, Los Angeles-based pianist Gary Fukashima, along with bassist Jeff Johnson and drummer Byron Vannoy for a creative and wide-ranging set of original music. His first outing as leader in 6 years, Taylor has kept himself busy as an intregal member of multiple Origin recording groups including the Jim Knapp Orchestra, Thomas Marriott and Matt Jorgensen + 451, and was recently announced Northwest Instrumentalist of the Year at the 2009 Earshot Jazz Awards.
