About the Album

The dark tones of Los Angeles-based singer Courtney Fortune's voice transition seamlessly from jazz to folk and pop on her debut album, Speak Love. Adapting her diverse musical interests at an early age, Fortune has garnered fans from the U.S. to Japan for her smooth voice and warm presence. Along with a collection of standards (including a lush \"I Wish You Love\"), half of the songs on Speak Love were written by Fortune or co-written with four-time Grammy-nominated composer and arranger Chris Walden, who also produced the album. Recorded at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, Speak Love is an eclectic mix of musical influences that revitalizes and inspires loyal jazz fans while giving depth to the current popular music landscape.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
