About the Album

Organic is a very familiar term in jazz, denoting that the band breathes as one, which is one of the best (and unfortunately not frequent) descriptions of the values of this music. It perfectly characterizes this release, the third of the Majamisty Trio, the first recorded exclusively as a trio, with pianist Maja Alvanović (who is also the composer of most of the songs), the double bass player Ervin Malina and the new member of the crew, drummer Lav Kovač. "...For the jazz-poodle Notey ‒ the one bewildered by Malina’s shenanigans on the cover of this collection ‒ we now have a proper minuet: I can almost imagine her dancing with her owner in a lively waltz (with 6/8 and then 3/4 time signatures), wagging her tail in contentment at each of the band’s quirky breaks. In the middle, the whole ensemble is in full force, speeding up and soaring, still finishing the “Minuet for a Dog” just the way they started. Another pirouette with Notey, please!" (from the review of jazz journalist Vojislav Pantić)
