Fiona's Comments

Skewy funk distortions with keys similar to George Duke. Nicely bent out of shape.

About the Album

Midnight Sun – the dreamy atmosphere of long summer days, the nights aglow with a silky white light which draws people out onto the streets to amble and chat by the silvery canals. And above it all, low on the horizon, the Midnight Sun, giving a fiery energy to the mellow mood. Midnight Sun – a smooth track with a great bluesy rhythm. Written and arranged by Dmitry Ermakov. Keyboards, synths and key bass – Dmitry Ermakov. Drums – Koos van der Velde. Recorded in Byala, Bulgaria; North Pennines, UK & Drachten, Friesland. Produced by Dmitry Ermakov. Audio-engineered, mixed, mastered & re-mastered by Eduardo Lopez @ Loft Music Studios, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK, 2014. Re-mixed by Koos van der Velde, Drachten. © & ℗ Dmitry Ermakov, 2015. All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
