About the Album

Przemyslaw Straczek Quartet is a Polish contemporary jazz formation. Their music characterized by a modern approach to the sound of the quartet with the use of instrumental and sonoristic colors. The songs contain references to various achievements of jazz music, from modal jazz to free jazz and contemporary harmony. The leader of the Group, and at the same time a music composer, is a well-acclaimed Polish guitarist Przemysław Strączek. In 2014, the band released the album White Grain of Coffee with which was well-received by critics. After the album release the band was selected to participate in Bridge Music programme organized by The Scottish Jazz Federation. As a result the musicians presented their album in the major cities of Scotland and the UK performing in Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Birmingham. In 2019 The Quartet was invited for a tour in Italy playing several festival and club concerts among other in Winter Jazz Festival in San Severo and Pisa Jazz Festival. In 2020 the group released ne album called Fig Tree which open a new gate for international jazz field.
