About the Album

Liner note from the cd Ecoutez moi:

"Since Bill Evans has launched his new conception of Jazz trio musicians have let go the traditional rules of hierarchy and order and have created new relationships with one another in the shape of a free and marvellous musical dialog. Many musicians have set off on this musical journey and jazz trios including piano, bass and drums are countless nowadays.

New creations, standards, concentration, precision, elegance, fluidity, free stream of ideas, swing and energy: these are the main features of the Sbastien Paindestre Trio with Jean-Claude Oleksiak on bass and Antoine Paganotti on drums.

There is something different with this trio whose strong sense of architecture coexists with a taste for freedom. Every musical piece they play is very well-structured, and at the same time full of spontaneity and creativity.

The three musicians manage to create a lyrical and abstract style in a sensual and simple way."

- Franck Medioni (Jazz Magazine, Jazz actuel, Improjazz)

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
