About the Album

"Little Stories is the debut album by Grammy®-nominated bassist and composer Peter Slavov, known for his work with Joe Lovano, Quincy Jones, Alfredo Rodriguez, George Garzone and many others. Little Stories is a concept album: each composition is accompanied by a short printed one-paragraph story that explains the inspiration behind the music, and/or the meaning of the title. The music was recorded by a core band enhanced on different tracks with strings, voice, acoustic guitar and bass clarinet. All the music was written and arranged by Peter Slavov and is a collection of material written over the past 20 years. The cover art is by acclaimed Chilean artist Maria Jose Concha and was inspired by the music." - Peter Slavov

All About Jazz needs your support

Donate
All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
