All for a little bit of wit on All About Jazz. Perhaps a likeness to the gentle yelping of a tired bagpipe being slowly executed is just what you need too. #OhTheDrama

About the Album

"Hypnotique Sympathie" is the first track from Kaze's new album "Atody Man." The album features Japanese pianist Satoko Fujii, trumpeter Natsuki Tamura, along with French trumpeter Christian Pruvost, and drummer Peter Orins. As the members of Kaze enter their eighth year together, they find themselves enjoying a group rapport that few other bands share. Using minimal yet distinctive compositional frameworks from each band member, they engage in deep musical exchanges full of surprise and wit. This is the 2nd release in Satoko Fujii's CD of the month marathon during which she's releasing a new CD every month in celebration of her 60th birthday.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
