About the Album

Jeudi, the Vintage-Voiced Chanteuse, presents a Vintage Nouveau version of a Jazz Age tune from 1928 by Larry Shaw, Charles Tobias and William Jerome. "Get Out, Get Under the Moon", feels like a melodic tonic for a hot summer night. As the the sun sets on a another cooped-up day indoors, this song beckons and persuades the listener outside to bask in the warm glow of past halcyon nights - - “You’re not alone in the moonlight, though you may be all alone” - - for in this memory-scape, love lingers, remembered kindred spirits dwell, and hope prevails. Is it the moonlit stroll that shakes off the doldrums, or is it the silvery moonlight and musical enchantment that energize? Whatever it is, wherever you are, if you’re feeling down, let this music transport you to a happy time and place, be it the 1920s, or the 2020s.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
