The 'Garden Beast' as performed by some far out fun guys.

About the Album

The title track of Iordache's latest album, Garden Beast, inspired by Iordache's own garden and the animals and plants within it, as well as nature's own rhythms and cycles.

Musicians: Iordache: alto saxophone, vocals (on Magnolia), arrangements; Sebastian Burneci: trumpet; Florian Radu: trombone; Toni Kühn: keyboards, electric guitar on Captain Rabbit; Dan Alex Mitrofan: electric guitar; Uţu Pascu: electric bass; Tavi Scurtu: drums, tambourine.

Special Guest: Sanem Kalfa: lead vocals on Magnolia.

All tunes by Iordache. Captain Rabbit contains elements from Funiculi Funicula by Luigi Denza (1880, public domain). My Dog Zorro contains elements from Echinox by Marius Popp from the album Nodul Gordian (1983), used with the composer’s permission. Cover art by Medicine Madison.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
