About the Album
Take the trip and prepare to dig "The Seeker" as tenor saxophonist Sean Nowell strikes back with his second session as a leader for Posi-Tone. Follow along as we encounter a few familiar faces, like pianist Art Hirahara and drummer Joe Abbatantuono who return for their second adventure with Nowell. Our journey begins with a "New York Vibe" and moves on to discover "meaning of the blues" but we are quickly off into the mystic lands and faraway places where every stop is filled with new and wondrous things to discover, like bassist Thomson Kneeland, cellist David Eggar, and guitarist Nir Felder. All that was once familiar to us somehow now feels boldly rediscovered as Nowell wields his horn with a fiery passion and leads his group onward in a romantic quest to discover the secret of his heart's desire. So jump on the magic carpet ride and enjoy a musical journey with Sean Nowell as he travels through a harmonic wonderland of fantastic melodies and sounds on "The Seeker."
