Possessing a huge, galvanizing sound and a lyrically-charged compositional vision, the supremely versatile Denson has earned recognition over the past 15 years as one of his generation's definitive bassists. What this album reveals is Denson as a startlingly expressive singer on both originals and brilliantly reimagined songs by Jeff Buckley, Peter Gabriel, Abbey Lincoln, and Chris Cornell. Also performing are saxophonist Dayna Stephens, pianist/keyboardist Karl Ikonen, and drummer/percussionist Ronen Itzik.
