About the Album

"Eclipse Orange" is the title track from Claire Ritter and Ran Blake's album "Eclipse Orange". On their first duo outing the innovative third stream pianists weave their singular voices together beautifully in celebration of Thelonious Monk's 100th birthday. "Eclipse Orange" captures a stunning live performance at Queens University in Ritter's (and Monk's) native North Carolina. Joining them on a handful of tracks is guest saxophonist Kent O'Doherty.
