The virtual concert celebrating the release will be Friday April 30th at noon CDT at Listen to the single now at Corcovado (Ao Vivo) was mastered in January 2021 by sound engineer Nick Landis, just nominated for a Grammy with artist Ruthie Foster. It was recorded live in April of 2013 at a mansion on the shores of Lake Austin, never released before. 'We recorded several songs during that party, just for fun. Our friends and everyone that ever heard them love those recordings. We finally decided to release a single out of the bunch. We picked April 30th for the release concert to coincide with International Jazz Day, Corcovado being such an iconic Brazilian jazz song by the great Tom Jobim.'

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
