A suite that is not in any way morose like the film with the same name. Full of smooth bends and knotty twists. A cool drive with some interesting scenery.

About the Album

The album "Suite The Road” is a five-part journey around the world of sounds and harmonies. The eponymous Road yields a number of interpretations, both literal and metaphorical. In the end, every one of us follows in the set direction, along the path determined by fate… I invited a number of wonderful artists to participate in my project – my friends, colleagues, even teachers and lecturers, who kindly agreed to enrich my music with their virtuoso performances. My debut album was made possible mainly because of the Młoda Polska 2016 Scholarship, which I was granted to realize my artistic endeavour and, at the same time, my great dream. - Piotr Scholz Piotr Scholz - Suite The Road Poznan Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra (PJPO) Tomasz Orłowski: trumpet; Maciej Kociński: soprano sax; Kuba Marciniak: tenor sax, flute, clarinet; Jakub Skowroński: tenor sax, soprano sax, bass clarinet; Piotr Banyś: trombone; Kacper Smoliński: harmonica; Agata Rożankowska: vocal; Aleksandra Machaj: violin; Martyna Kowzan: viola; Anna Papierz: cello; Krzysztof Dys: piano; Damian Kostka: double bass; Adam Zagórski: drums; Piotr Scholz: composer, conductor.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
