How many trumpets make you smile these days? This September Song has some of that Gillespie warmth and Byrd slur. Redman has some nice new sounds in his albums and is fully immersed in BITD best bits. The vocals do overpower the song in some places, it's hard to match Vaughan.

September Song is the fifth tune from trumpeter Carlos Redman's album Not Your Classic (N.Y.C.) recorded live at Breeding Ground Studios in Brooklyn, NY. Exenia Rocco - vocals Etienne Stadwijk - piano Vladislav Borkovski - bass Alan Blake - guitar Adam Jackson - drums This project is geared towards encouraging younger audiences to embrace the art of creatively mixing old school sophistication with modern dance, bringing back reminiscent sounds with a hip new twist for a new generation of listeners.
