About the Album

French-born pianist Romain Collin introduces an evocatively textured, melodically luxuriant sound on his new Palmetto album The Calling. The album’s title track, an insistent, almost incantatory minimalist theme that builds to an ambiguously pacific resolution, captures Collin at his most cinematic, a new breed of piano player redefining the trio format.

Tracks

Storm; The Calling; Runner’s High; Stop This Train; Burn Down; Pennywise the Clown; Greyshot; Strange; Nica’s Dream; Airborne; Aftermath; One Last Try.
