Listening to this song, it really struck home how distinctive Carmen's style is. I found myself suddenly thinking back to songs from previous albums ("My Shining Hour", in particular) and how they really stuck with me. Her sound is almost deceptively simple. I hope the jazz community realizes what a gem they have in Carmen Lundy.
