Fiona's Comments

Huh. Well that's certainly different. I wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but by the time the song ended, I found myself hoping they would be playing a New Year's Eve show somewhere nearby me when 2012 comes to a close. Frank says that his band is out to have fun; that vibe is definitely infectious. Very likable tune. Bonus points for comic book character on album cover.

About the Album

This is the opening track of Frank Macchia's new CD Swamp Thang. Picture Thelonius Monk, King Curtis, Captain Beefheart and Professor Longhair all playing some wild blues tunes. Add a dose of humor and a dollop of cajun seasoning and you've got Swamp Thang! Featuring Ken Rosser, Eric Jensen, John Rosenberg, Tom Lockett, Frank Briggs. This band is out to have fun!
