Fiona's Comments

Here's some wonderful jazz to start the new year. The entire album is fantastic, one where the accumulation of each joyous tune creates a wave of happiness through to the last note. Nothing like the warmth of vibes in the heart of Winter, but backed by a large ensemble as talented as this, it may as well be Spring. Very recommended.

A samba, the perfect musical vehicle for Charlston's JazzBrasil ensemble, showcasing the joy that Hermeto Pascoal's music can bring to listeners and performers alike.

Personnel: Erik Charlston (vibes, marimba), Ted Nash (sax, flute, clarinet), Mark Soskin (piano), Jay Anderson (bass), Rogrio Boccato (drums, percussion), Caf (percussion).
