About the Album

From simple poetic lyricism to unbridled intensity, trumpeter Brian Owen brings youthful adventure mixed with precision and maturity to his debut album of modern, postbop jazz. Saxophonist Jay Thomas brings deep musicality throughout the album, while the rhythm section of John Hansen on piano, Jon Hamar on bass and Phil Parisot on drums accent the ebb and flow of each track, interacting throughout. The result is a tight 48 minutes of original music, engaging the listener at each turn.
