Old timey NO dirgitty.
I scribbled out this melody while sitting at a bar in South Philly enjoying a friend's gig. The next day I sat down at the piano and played it for the first time. I realized I had written a New Orleans style dirge and once I heard the drumbeat from Gusten and the way the horns phrased the melody I knew it would become one of my favorite compositions. I decided to name the song after the friend whose gig I was at when I wrote the song.
