Boldly going where few jazzers have gone before.
NoteSpeak that was crowdfunded successfully- we’re delighted to say that we’ve surpassed our goal. The album was recorded at KrHouse Studios and at Ritmo&Blu Studios in Italy and has just been mastered at Metropolis Mastering in London. NoteSpeak is a poetic/musical album, partially inspired by artists like The Last Poets, Gil Scott Heron, Vijay Iver & Mike Ladd. We approach these spoken word pieces with the poetry and the music intricately intertwined. With this album, we are trying to draw attention to issues of which many are unaware- and putting faces to other phenomena of which we are all too aware- such as today’s mass migrations. This track is inspired by the Overview Effect as detailed in Frank White's book. The American debut of NoteSpeak was at the Zee Jaipur Literature Festival in Boulder Co. in September 2017. They had this to say about the performance: "NoteSpeak performed at the closing of the literary festival JLF@Boulder and blew the lid off the house. They had the audience on their feet throughout the incredible 90-minute set! A pure treat!" Sanjoy K. Roy Managing Director of Teamwork Arts. Co-founder, producer of the Jaipur Literature Festival
