In la ville de crevettes, drama and pathos never over imbue an emotion. Darrell Katz packs a powerful punch in favour of the angels! #PrettyPretty #GrownUpsDigIt #StickItToTheRats
"To An Angel" is the fifth track from Darrell Katz's new album "Rats Live on No Evil Star." Featuring composer Katz, the Jazz Composers' Alliance Orchestra, and vocalist Rebecca Shrimpton, the album is one of Katz's richest CDs in a career that spans more than 30 years; he treats listeners to his vibrant, witty, and moving works for jazz orchestra and writes music of tremendous emotional immediacy, conveying political outrage, tender love, and sheer joie de vivre with equal command. "To an Angel" features a poem written by the late Paula Tatarunis.
