Little Wing, controversial lyrics for the 21st Century. Melody fits like a glove with country guitar, cello, bass and drums. Hank's delivery is unique.
"Little Wing" is the first track from Phil Haynes' new album "My Favorite Things (1960-1969)." The album, featuring drummer/composer Haynes' "jazz-grass" string band Free Country with Hank Roberts, Jim Yanda, and Drew Gress, takes on The Beatles, Hendrix, Coltrane, James Brown, and more. "My Favorite Things" concludes a trilogy by Free Country which, released over nearly two decades, encompasses nearly the entire history of American popular music in the band's own irreverent, stripped-down fashion.
