Love this sound, reminiscent of Shorter, Morgan, Hubbard, Byrd. It's up and down the jazz decades with riffs tip of the tongue familiar. Slightly overly brash brass towards the end of the mid section, otherwise this is giant band status. #ifyoulikepayton
Common Ground is the third recording by the KMJO (The Kirk MacDonald Jazz Orchestra) and Kirk's thirteenth as a leader.
