About the Album

One of 12 songs on Rev C's new release, titled @etude, The Storm was written after he moved to Philadelphia following Hurricane Katrina. It is part of a larger--unfinished--work. The new record features ten originals and two songs by Philly-based composers. It stylistically runs the gamut from modern jazz, to Monk inspired blues, to New Orleans piano professor style singer/songwriter with a little second line two-steps thrown in for good (danceable) measure. The Storm is performed by Bart Miltenberger, trumpet; Thomas Razler, saxophone; Julian Miltenberge, drums; Rich Curtis, bass; Rev Chris, piano.
