Fiona's Comments

Beautiful enough that we could all paint a picture. Zealous, erratic extroversion on a higher level.

About the Album

The Lark is the 2nd album from pianist/composer Soren Gemmer. The album presents a series of portraits of people fleshed out in melodic lines and so unites personal experience with collective modern jazz exploration. The title track features a zealous piano solo from the bandleader as well as flügelhorn player Mads La Cour’s trademark blend lyricism and erratic extroversion. Personnel Mads La Cour: flugelhorn & Eb-trumpet; Per Møllehøj: guitar; Tapani Toivanen: bass; Andreas Fryland: drums; Søren Gemmer: piano.
