About the Album

Right before Christmas in 2014, two police officers were murdered in Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn. It's close to my neighborhood and I used to go to the area for jam sessions. If you know the context since the Eric Garner incident, you know how bad this Bed-Stuy thing was. I was thinking to write a lament for that, but I changed my mind and wrote a lullaby for the children of the victims and children in the neighborhood. "Bed-Stuy Lullaby" is a relaxed rock tune with Latin touches played in 13 beats.
