About the Album

"Wives and Lovers," from bassist and vocalist Katie Thiroux's debut CD "Introducing Katie Thiroux," is an extraordinary solo bass-and-vocals performance of the Bacharach and David ode to the responsibilities of marital eroticism, offered here with irony-free conviction. While this track trains the spotlight on Thiroux’s outsized talents, the album features guitarist Graham Dechter, tenor saxophonist Roger Neumann and drummer Matt Witek interpreting a mix of standards and Thiroux's compositions.
