About the Album
The album has been recorded in Istanbul as a trio, including classical guitar, double bass and percussion. Overall the album is formed with an acoustic sound that combines the fusion of Anatolian themes, Middle East and Latin rhythms together with modern jazz. The album focuses on global climate change and the environmental movements such as Gezi Park resistance. HES Off is a song that tries to describe vibrant rivers with its lively rhythm and tune changes. It depicts the wipe-out of high waters and harmful effects of HES (Hydroelectric Power Plant) that plunder the forests, changes riverbeds and leaves no water in streams even for animals to survive.
