About the Album

Tree People features jazz pianist/vocalist Cheryl Hodge w/jazz guitar great John Stowell, bassist Dave Captein & drummer Charlie Doggett. It is the WINNER of BEST JAZZ SONG 2013 at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards. The song tells of the plight of the Awa Tribe of the Amazon jungle in Brazil; a tribe which has tragically lost its home, due to deforestation in the area.
