About the Album

This energetic pseudo-balkanese rush in 13/8 timesignature was written by Pertti "Peppe" Jalava, (better known as orchestral and chamber music composer) in 1980. He arranged and reworked it now, thirty years later for his bands recent album "Go to the Beach" which was recorded in Turku, Finland 2009 and was released 2010. The style of the album moves in the landscapes of progressive rock, contemporary art music, fusion jazz and ethnic influences. Peppe Jalava Band is: Jaakko Martikainen: saxophone Antti Hermaja: trombone Erkki Huovinen: harmonica and guitar Mikko Multamki: bass Pertti "Peppe" Jalava: drums and keyboards
