About the Album

My Favorite Color, Jackie Allen's long anticipated follow-up studio release to her critically acclaimed 2006 Blue Note recording Tangled, features two originals and eight standards reaching from the 30's into the 70's. Call Me Winter is an original. The beautiful abstract lyrics were composed with lines shared by the late Illinois Poet Laureate, G.E. Murray: "If you don't know where you are, you've arrived."

FEATURING Jackie Allen, vocals; John Moulder, guitars; Ben Lewis, keyboards; Hans Sturm, double bass; Dane Richeson, drums. and special guests: Tito Carillo, trumpet; Steve Eisen, saxophone and flute.
