About the Album

On the EP Through birds, through fire, but not through glass, named after Yves Tanguys painting , IKARUS weave a tapestry of dreams and reality. The songs create surreal landscapes and go beyond the boundaries of the ordinary. “The songs make you dream and create original images in your mind’s eye. They are like film music without a film”, explains Ramón Oliveras, the band leader. Bartôk meets James Blake; Arvo Pärt fuses with Eivind Aarset.
