Editor's Comments

Nice example of how expansive the reach of jazz can be, in how it is able to synthesize with different musics. Also, just a very cool tune with an infectious percussive groove. Every now and then I get an unsolicited submission to the AAJ dotd that knocks my socks off... and this is one such example. Enjoy!

The track featured hammered dulcimer, 6 string bass, syamisen (Japanese traditional 3 string instrument) and different percussion (cajon, ocean drum and so on). The rhythm is based on North of Argentine rhythms called Chacarera.
