Jean Lapouge trio Plein air
Wonderful introspective tune. I imagine that this song would especially appeal to fans of 70's ECM with its bright guitar and earthy accompaniment. The type of song that goes with sunrise no matter where you call your home.
EDIT: Just read on Jean's site about his brief involvement with ECM. That's too bad. Manfred Eicher's loss, as far as I'm concerned. Lapouge's work is gold.
In the time between Hauts Plateaux and his latest effort Temporare, Jean Lapouge, founder of NOETRA, played in a trio setting with Kent Carter (double bass) and Jeff Boudreaux (drums) for nearly a decade. The band went into the studio three times over this period. The musical context allowed Jean to explore new directions in his compositions and guitar playing.
