About the track

Moscow-based pianist Ivan Farmakovsky made a jazz arrangement of this well-known Russian children's song by K. Pevzner - originally it's about a kid who prefers to draw everything with orange crayons - "orange sky, orange sun, orange children, orange camel". Dmitry Mospan brings in the soprano saxophone solo, while bassist Anton Revnyuk draws the bass line and Mingus Dynasty's drummer Donald Edwards adds a samba feeling. Recorded for Ivan Farmakovsky's second album, The Way Home, released on Butman Music in November 2010.
